Kate Pruce


Role

Kate Pruce is an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow based at The University of Manchester’s Global Development Institute. She is working on ESID’s project on the political economy of social protection expansion in Africa, with a focus on Zambia.

Research

Kate’s research is on the politics of social protection adoption, expansion and implementation in low- and middle-income countries, with a focus on Zambia. Kate led the Zambia case study within ESID’s comparative project on the political economy of social protection in Africa, and has worked on phase 2 of this project as an ESID Research Associate.
